U bein teak bridge outside Mandalay Myanmar

U Bein Bridge is around 45 minutes outside of Mandalay in a town called Amarapura, a former capital of Burma. It crosses around 1200 meters over the Taungthaman Lake. Tourists come here to take photos at sunset, and the locals use it to cross their way to go home after a day at work.

Although the bridge itself is an impressive structure, making it the longest and oldest teak bridge in the world, the surrounding area is also quiet nice and peaceful.
