Buffalo Bill Steakhouse Portomaso

I keep a close watch on this heart of mine;
I keep my eyes wide open all the time;
I keep the ends out for the tie that binds;
Because you’re mine, I walk the line, I walk the line
— and here I m referring to Johnny Cash’s famous track amongst others of his that were played that evening…over and over again !!    And that was until I brought it up to the restaurant manager, when the music was changed to anything but ideal to the restaurant…and that’s not it…ding dong and the door bells rang and then came the happy birthday song which was played twice in a row for each and every birthday celebrations, in the packed restaurant.

Now that I have been on a Saturday night I would classify this restaurant as a commercial one, but which absolutely does not reflect the bill.

A dinner for two amounted to around EUR100, and consisted of the following: –

Mixed vegetable soup or chicken soup (complimentary)

Bruschetta and garlic bread (complimentary)

Salad bar (complimentary)

300gr Rib eye steak with mashed potatoes

650gr T-Bone Steak with baked potatoes

1 Apple pie with ice-cream

1 bottle of South African pinotage

2 coffees

2 liquers

1 sparkling water.

The salad bar had a variety of items including pasta, couscous, rice, grilled vegetables, tomatoes, coleslaw etc. Ideally the grilled vegetables should have been served warm.  The portions of the meat dishes are significantly generous, and the meat was cooked to perfection and the quality of the meat was excellent.

Service is overall good, especially for the understanding waiter who assisted us when we complained for an overcharge.
